At Pitti Immagine Uomo Fabi is showcasing its new Spring-Summer 2019 collection designed for the “Post-Contemporary” Gentleman, with his ability to skilfully mix classic and modern styles in outfits with a laid back attitude thanks to the new sporty concept of the classic shoe.
The colour palette is enriched with traditional and natural colours applied by hand to superior leather uppers boldly set off by contrasting white EVA soles.
The collection draws on the origins of the brand founded by Elisio Fabi in Montegranaro in 1965, and reinterprets it with the contemporary spirit of his son Emanuele.
The shapes look to the future and the choice of materials also has millennials in mind with the use of denim and technical fabric for loafers, lace-ups and monk shoes.
Pitti looks to Pop art and Fabi follows suit with its unique edition sneakers that hark back to the 1980s, when Italy triumphed at the Spanish world cup designed by Mirò and its champions endorsed the first cult sports shoes for leisurewear.
The “Mundial” sneakers come in fresh colours, are super light and so comfortable you never want to take them off, and they feature a constructed box sole with a colourful insert on the heel that makes them very elegant.
Then we have the Jesse sneakers. These iconic men’s sneakers in supple and hardwearing deerskin come in a fantastic range of sophisticated and appealing colours, and are crafted using the reverse construction method, an old-fashioned technique used to conceal the external seam and to make the shoes more waterproof.
The shoes are made even more precious and utterly unmistakable by the care and special attention paid to every detail, including the Vibram Gumlite rubber outsole laid on a thin layer of leather, which even Jesse would have appreciated back in the Thirties.
Flex Goodyear reverse construction is also the solution of choice for Fabi’s high-end shoes. The double monk-strap shoes in Kangaroo leather feature a maxi fringe to add a touch of originality to a shoe with a strong personality as it is.
The Must_Eve collection, the major success of the latest seasons, with its iconic shoes that “transform” into the ideal footwear for any occasion, has expanded with eight new styles led by a highly sophisticated two-tone college-style version.
Last but not least, there is a new clamp linking the men’s and women’s collections to be featured at the Micam and WHITE footwear fairs. With their clean and pure design and superior quality, the “Show The Logo” moccasins, inspired by the Fabi archives, are very elegant and irresistible.
